The 2025 production year section of the Agricultural Policy Monitoring Report, prepared within the scope of the Precision Farming for a Greener Tomorrow: Advocating for Sustainable Agriculture project, has been published.
The report addresses the production process in three stages: planning, harvest and marketing. For each stage, the problems faced by producers have been assessed on the basis of the outputs of meetings and fieldwork carried out in Ankara, Adana, İzmir, Sakarya and Şanlıurfa, the provinces where the project is implemented, and the policy-level responses to these problems have been set out.
Scope of the report
- Planning period: choice of cropping pattern, input costs, pre-sowing guidance and the need for market analysis
- Harvest period: labour supply, harvest timing, and access to preservation and storage facilities
- Marketing period: producers' bargaining power, the gap between farm-gate and market prices, supply gluts and price fluctuations
The findings in the report have been assessed together with the needs raised by members in the ISFN online meetings, and they provide a basis for the network's advocacy work.
