Precision Farming Training for Young Farmers Launched in Sakarya

A Precision Farming Training programme for young farmers engaged in agricultural activities in Sakarya has started. The training programme aims to strengthen young farmers' knowledge and skills in innovative, sustainable and precision farming practices.

Within the programme, participants are expected to gain knowledge of precision farming techniques aimed at optimising resource use in agricultural production, increasing productivity and reducing environmental impacts. Over the course of the training, topics such as the concept of precision farming, sustainable agricultural production, technology-supported farming practices, data-driven decision-making processes and digitalisation in agriculture will be covered.

In the training, which is supported by theoretical and practical content, participants will be shown how precision farming tools such as GPS systems, automated agricultural machinery, drone-assisted field observation, sensor-based monitoring systems and data analytics can be used in agricultural production.

Through the training programme, young farmers are expected to use digital farming technologies more effectively, increase efficiency in their production processes and spread environmentally friendly farming practices more widely.
