The Precision Farming Practices Training for Young Farmers, organised within the scope of the “Precision Farming for a Greener Tomorrow: Advocating for Sustainable Agriculture” project led by the International Confederation of Agriculture and Food, will take place in Sakarya on 12–13–14 June 2026.
The training programme aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of young farmers living in and/or carrying out agricultural activities in Sakarya regarding innovative, sustainable and precision farming practices. The programme aims to bring participants to a level of knowledge that enables them to apply precision farming techniques to optimise resource use in agricultural production, increase productivity and reduce environmental impacts.
During the training, the concept of precision farming, sustainable agricultural production, technology-supported agricultural practices, data-driven decision-making processes and digitalisation in agriculture will be addressed. The programme will include theoretical and practical content on how precision farming tools such as GPS systems, automated agricultural machinery, drone-assisted field observation, sensor-based monitoring systems and data analytics can be used in agricultural production.
The training programme will last a total of 15 hours and is planned over 3 days. Places are limited to 25 participants and participation is free of charge. Applications will be evaluated from among young farmers living in and/or engaged in agricultural production in Sakarya. In the evaluation of applications, priority will be given to young farmers and to candidates actively involved in agricultural production.
The detailed training programme and information on participation will be shared separately with participants whose applications are accepted.
