Sustainable Precision Farming Advocacy Training held in Ankara!

The Sustainable Precision Farming Advocacy Training was successfully completed in Ankara on 10, 11 and 12 April with 25 participants, amid strong interest and active participation. Over the three days of training, participants had the opportunity to develop, through both theoretical and practical work, the knowledge and skills they need to carry out advocacy in the field of sustainable agriculture.

Within the framework of a rights-based approach, the programme covered farmers' rights, food security and environmental sustainability, and focused on monitoring and evaluation processes. While learning how to develop effective indicators, participants developed their own monitoring indicators for planning, production and marketing processes.

Work was carried out on digital advocacy tools, the use of social media and techniques for creating effective messages for target audiences, and field simulations were conducted. Participants gained hands-on experience of observation, interviews, document review and digital data collection tools. The group presentations and evaluation sessions held at the end of the training showed that participants had gained strong awareness in the field of sustainable agriculture advocacy and were ready to apply the methods they had learned in their own regions.

Through this training, the project did not only provide knowledge transfer; it also supported the goal of equipping participants with advocacy skills that can contribute to the spread of sustainable and precision farming practices in their own communities.
